Chapter Three

(The Emergency)

        Captain Archer sat down and looked at his padd.  He looked up and started the meeting.

"Everyone, this is JD Powell, our temporary doctor."

"Hello."

"JD is aware that Dr. Phlox is sick.  His job is to try to make Dr. Phlox better."

        Captain Archer slid a copy of the medical padd over to JD.  JD picked it up, turned it on, and looked at it.  It contains a copy of Dr. Phlox medical records and Dr. Phlox's status.

"Please try to make him comfortable here, get him everything he needs, and keep him up-to-date on everything."

        Suddenly, the door buzzed.

"Come in."

        A crew member stumbled in.

"I am sorry for interrupting your meeting, but Dr. Phlox is unconscious and will be dead if we don’t do something soon."

        Captain and JD left the room and rushed to the medical room.
